Cranberry Sauce Recipe

This is one of my favorite side dishes this time of year! My grandmother used to make something similar, but it was always more of a relish. So, I came up with this saucier variation!

It's an awesome sauce to top your turkey, ice cream, or to eat all by itself! When I was working on this recipe, I made a version with more sugar, and found that it makes a great ice cream topping!!

Cranberry Sauce
From the kitchen of Britteny's Boutique

  • 12oz bag of cranberries
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Juice of one orange
  • One orange diced
  • Dash of cinnamon (optional)

  1. Place all ingredients in a sauce pan, and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer until cranberries burst and sauce starts to thicken, about 10-15 minutes.

  • Delicious on not only left-overs, but also vanilla ice cream!
